Symbol VC5090 vehicle computer

Phenomenon 1: The Symbol VC5090 vehicle computer is not powered or suddenly shuts down.
Possible reason 1: The "main power" switch on the top of the vehicle terminal is in the "off" position.
Solution: Turn the "Main Power" switch to the "On" position.
Possible reason 2: The power cable is not connected or unplugged.
Solution: Connect the power cable to the power cable port on the bottom of the vehicle computer. Press the "Power" button to wake up Symbol VC5090.
Possible reason 3: If Symbol VC5090 is powered by a car battery, the battery has run out.
Solution: Replace the battery or charge the battery.
Possible reason 4: The ignition cable (yellow) of the power cable is not connected correctly.
Solution: Verify that this power cable is properly connected.

Phenomenon 2: No characters are visible on the display.
Possible reason 1: The Symbol VC5090 vehicle computer is not powered.
Solution: Check whether the "Main Power" switch on the top of the Symbol VC5090 is in the "on" position. Press the "Power" button.
Possible reason 2: The screen is too bright or too dark.
Solution: Adjust the brightness.
Possible reason 3: The Symbol VC5090 is in "suspend" mode (the green power LED indicator is off).
Solution: Press the Power button to wake up the Symbol VC5090 vehicle computer.

Phenomenon 3: The application is not responding.
Possible reason: The Symbol VC5090 is no longer communicating with the AP (the communication LED indicator is off).
Solution: Move the Symbol VC5090 closer to the AP. If the problem persists, please contact your system administrator.

Phenomenon 4: The scanner option does not work.
Possible reason 1: The scanner is not properly connected to the Symbol VC5090.
Solution: Connect the scanner to the COM1 port and power up the vehicle terminal. If the problem persists, see the scanner's product reference guide or consult your system administrator.
Possible reason 2: The SerialWedge application was not started or the correct COM port was not set for it.
Solution: Make sure the SerialWedge application is enabled and set the correct port for it.
