1. The full line scan mode is not displayed when following the instructions to install the host cable.
a. Possible reason: Symbol LS7708 barcode scanning platform is not powered.
Possible solution: Make sure the host is powered on and turned on. If the bar code scanning platform uses a separate power source, make sure the bar code scanning platform is connected to a working AC outlet. The boot sequence is incorrect.
b. Possible reason: The interface cable is not connected properly.
Possible solution: Please check if the cable connection is loose.
2. The scan line is displayed, but the barcode cannot be read.
a. Possible reason: The symbol LS7708 barcode scanning platform is not programmed and the barcode type cannot be read.
Possible solution: Make sure the scanning platform is programmed to read the type of bar code to be scanned.
b. Possible reason: The barcode is damaged.
Possible solution: Try scanning other barcodes with the same barcode type.
c. Possible reason: The barcode is too far away from the symbol LS7708 barcode scanning platform.
Possible solution: Move the barcode closer to the barcode scanning platform.
d. Possible reason: The host has disabled scanning or overwriting parameter settings.
Possible solution: Please consult the technician responsible for scanning.
3. The barcode is decoded but cannot be delivered to the host.

4. The scanned data is not displayed correctly on the host.
Possible reason: The LS7708 barcode scanning platform has not been programmed and cannot be used with the host. Please check the barcode scanning platform host type parameters or editing options.
Possible solution: Make sure the correct host is selected. For RS-232, please ensure that the communication parameters of the barcode scanning platform match the host settings. For Keyboard Wedge, be sure to program the barcode scanning platform with the correct country code and turn off the CAPS LOCK key. Be sure to program the editing options (for example, UPCE to UPCA conversion) correctly.
5. Although the green and red LEDs are lit, the bar code scanning platform does not generate an omnidirectional scan mode.
Possible reason: The bar code scanning platform enters a low energy "motor sleep" mode.
Possible solution: Press the "Volume Control and Wake Up" button to wake up the barcode scanning platform.
6. The USB or Synapse host is not working properly.
