Battery saving tips

When not using the Symbol MC92N0, always connect it to AC power.
Set the Symbol MC92N0 handheld computer to turn off after a period of inactivity.
Set the display to off or dark backlight.
Set the keyboard backlight to automatically turn off after a period of inactivity.
Turn off all radio activity when not in use.
Turn off the Symbol MC92N0 while charging.

1. On a Windows CE device, tap Start>Settings>Control Panel>Power>Advanced. On a Windows embedded handheld device, tap Start>Settings>System>Power>Advanced.
2. Select the 'On Battery Power': Turn off device if not used for: Tap the checkbox and select a value from the drop-down list box (Battery power setting: Turn off the device when not in use at the following times).
3. Tap OK.

Change display backlight settings
To change the display backlight settings to save more power:
1. On a Windows CE device, tap Start>Settings>Control Panel>Backlight>Battery Power. On a Windows embedded handheld device, tap Start>Settings>System>Backlight>Battery Power.
2. Select the 'On Battery Power': Disable backlight if not used for: Tap the checkbox and select a value from the drop-down list box (Battery power setting: Turn off the device when not in use at the following times).
3. Tap the Brightness tab.
4. Tap the Disable backlight checkbox to completely turn off the display backlight.
5. Use the slider to set the backlight brightness. Setting the brightness to a small value saves battery power.
6. Tap OK.

Change keyboard backlight settings
To change the keyboard backlight settings to save more power:
1. On a Windows CE device, tap Start>Settings>Control Panel>Keylight>Battery Power. On a Windows embedded handheld device, tap Start>Settings>System>Keylight>Battery Power.
2. Select the 'On Battery Power': Disable keylight if not used for: Tap the checkbox and select a value from the drop-down list box.
3. Tap Advanced.
4. Tap the Disable keylight checkbox to completely turn off the display backlight.
5. Tap OK.
